Saad, a Hiligaynon term for “vow”, depicts Leganesnons’ intense spirituality and religious faith. The festival is also a celebration of thanksgiving for the blessings received from God through the intercession of St. Vincent Ferrer, the town’s patron. The festival is primarily a praise and worship presentation that combines Leganes’ folktale with contemporary way of worship to choreographed steps.
How To Get There:
Leganes is a town north of Iloilo City. It is accessible through the Western Nautical Highway or locally known as McArthur Highway. From the airport, you may take shuttle buses going to SM City Iloilo and from there you can ride a jeepney straight to Leganes. Travel time is around 20 to 30 minutes.
Saad, in Leganes, is celebrated usually on the 2nd week of April or after Holy Week.Ü
Have a good day ahead everyone.
