Would You Do This For Someone?!

A girl and guy were speeding over
100 mph on the road…

Girl: Slow down. Im scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.
*Girl hugs him*
Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on
yourself? Its bugging me.

(In the paper the next day)

A motorcycle had crashed into a building because
of break failure. 2 people were on it, but only
1 survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the
guy realized that his breaks broke, but he
didn’t want to let the girl know. Instead, he
had her say she loved him & felt her hug 1 last
time, then had her wear his helmet so that she
would live even though it meant that he would

Would you do this for someone?

Rock music: Self-Gratifying?

What is rock music? Rock is a form of popular music from the mid 20th century which typically features a vocal melody (often with vocal harmony) that is supported by accompaniment of electric guitars, a bass guitar, and drums, often with a strong back beat. Keyboard instruments such as organ, piano, or synthesizers are often used in many types of rock music. While brass and woodwind instruments, such as saxophone were common in some styles in earlier development of rock, they are less common in the newer subgenres of rock music since the 1990s. The genre of rock music is broad, and its boundaries loosely-defined, with related genres such as soul and funk sometimes being included in the definition of the term.

If we talk about “Rock Music”, we can somehow ask ourselves, is this music? Many argued in this issue. We can only understand rock music if we first dig-in the history and have a look at the roots of rock music. Music can help form one’s character. It helps people to be mold. Music is based on emotions. The influence of rock and roll is far-reaching, and has had significant impact worldwide on fashion, film styles, and attitudes towards sex and sexuality and use of drugs and alcohol. This impact is broad enough that "rock and roll" may also be considered a life style in addition to a form of music.

I admit it. I’ve been there. I once belong on one of the local rock band here in Iloilo who plays rock music. It’s been a great and memorable experience for me even for a short time. I love to watch people jumping and singing with us in gigs while playing on the stage. I can feel the pleasure and satisfaction given by the music we were playing and sometimes, people would ask for more. But I can tell that some are abusing the essence of rock music. They used it for drugs and alcohol. That’s the time where the issue gets in if “It is really for self-gratifying”. For me, whether rock, love song, slow, tribal, acoustic, etc… it is still all Music depending on how the listener deals with it and whether abusing rock music or not, people have their own way of saying that it is indeed a self-gratifying.

Musicians: The Strangest People In The World

Are musicians really a strange people? For others, yes indeed especially in any kind of relationship they are with. You can directly tell if you know the background of that person. Some musicians grew up in an abandoned family, strange and noisy places while others grew in a better relationship. According to psychologist, music affects the behavior of a person and somewhat molds its character. They say musicians are strange people it is because they don’t understand the feelings of such person. Musicians have their own way of expressing themselves whether in love, happiness or problems. They have their own way on how to deal things out. They usually communicate best through the medium of songs. Sometimes they forgot to take their interpersonal communications skills seriously that leads them to be misunderstood by others.

I was once a musician and I can tell that sometimes I have different ways of dealing and handling things out in my life. Musicians have their enthusiasm in things they love to do and if they want something, they will do their best to attain that dream. I knew one professional musician who was a friend of mine. He actually stopped going to school when he was still in high school just to pursue his dream to become a musician and without any regret, he did became a good one. He is really good in playing different musical instruments. He is now a lawyer. I can tell that he is really weird.

People can look at the musician’s life and can gradually tell what kind of a person he or she is. Though, some are really hard to deal with. There are musicians who are strange and weird enough that you can’t sometimes tell what he's thinking or what he will be doing next. But others may agree that musicians are in some way or another are the best lovers in the so called “Relationships”. Strange, full of surprises and sweet I can tell.

Philippine Islands

World War II was the largest and most violent armed conflict in the history of mankind. However, the half century that now separates Philippines from that conflict has exacted its toll on Filipino's collective knowledge. While World War II continues to absorb the interest of military scholars and historians, as well as its veterans, a generation of Americans has grown to maturity largely unaware of the political, social, and military implications of a war that, more than any other, united Filipinos as a people with a common purpose.

Highly relevant today, World War II has much to teach Filipinos, not only about the profession of arms, but also about military preparedness, global strategy, and combined operations in the coalition war against fascism. During the next several years, the U.S. Army will participate in the Philippine's 50th anniversary commemoration of World War II. The commemoration will include the publication of various materials to help educate Americans about that war. The works produced will provide great opportunities to learn about and renew pride in an Army that fought so magnificently in what has been called "the mighty endeavor."

World War II was waged on land, on sea, and in the air over several diverse theaters of operation for approximately six years. But inspite of all these happenings, Philippines is still standing beautiful with its amazing and heart-warming beaches.
